CHESSantiy is expanding its reach to other parts of the country!
In 2019, Matthew Yuan founded the Ohio Chapter of CHESSanity and has served as the Chapter’s President. Matthew is a student at Duke University and a highly national ranked competitive chess player. As President, Matthew leads CHESSanity's Adopt-a-School and Elderly Outreach programs in Ohio.

Characterized by his natural leadership skills and friendly persona, Matthew Yuan is an outstanding addition to the CHESSanity team. Not only is he a highly national-ranked competitive chess player, Matthew also has a passion to use his chess skills and give back to his community. Through CHESSanity's Adopt-a-School program, Matthew has donated hundred of chess sets and taught at multiple schools in his efforts to promote the self-esteem and cognitive outreach of students. Recently initiating CHESSanity's Elderly Outreach program, Matthew hopes to improve the cognitive function of the elderly and impede the growth of cognitive disorders. |
